You all know the story of Prometheus, right? He stole fire from Mount Olympus and gave it to the people of Earth. As punishment, Zeus chained him to a rock, and a vulture came and ate out his liver. Of course, with Prometheus being a Titan and therefore immortal, his liver grew back overnight, and the vulture came and ate it in the morning again...and again...and again. Finally, Hercules convinced Zeus to release Prometheus, and Zeus did so. But, as a reminder to Prometheus, Zeus gave him a box which contained seven great evils. It was warned that this box never be opened. And so Prometheus took the box back down to Earth. And he married. And he had a daughter. And he named her...Pandora.
Pandora is an average 13-year-old who just wants to fit in with the more popular kids. She feels very plain indeed, with regular old brown hair and a slight overbite. So one day, instead of bringing her dad's liver in a jar for show-and-tell (again), she decides to bring this cute little box. That will impress the popular kids! Of course, we all know what happens next: through a series of events and emotions, the box is opened, and seven great evils are released into the world. Gulp. Now Pandy has to collect all of the evils and return them to the box, or go down in history as the girl who ruined the world.
Read it! It's fantastic! (I bet all you Rick Riordan fans will love it...)
XOXOXO Luna Lovegood
