Fantasy Movie of the Month: MARCH

This month's fantasy movie is Alice in Wonderland, directed by Tim Burton.

Alice in Wonderland. It should all be so simple. But it's not.
Alice is played by Mia Wasikowska, and in this new twist on a classic tale, it's been 13 years since Alice first visited Wonderland when she was six. If you do the math, you can work out that Alice is now 19. She believes that her whole "Wonderland" experience was just a dream, but has always been a little different from everyone else all her life. After she runs to the garden to escape the decision of marrying an English lord whom she hates or disgracing herself and her family. She follows a little white rabbit...and ends up falling down a rabbit hole and into Wonderland. But Wonderland has changed in 13 years. The bloodthirsty Red Queen has stolen the throne from her kind little sister, the White Queen. And Alice finds out that she alone can slay the monstrous Jabberwocky.
Through many trials and tribulations, Alice finally decides that she is brave enough to slay the Jabberwocky. The end confrontation is incredible. With a star-studded cast including Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, and the voice of Alan Rickman, and with flawless CGI and an amazing set, this movie is sure to be recognized as yet another Tim Burton classic.

I saw this movie the day it came out: Friday, March 5. It was absolutely mind-blowing. Please do not listen to critics who give it bad reviews. This movie is now on my Top 10 favorites list, and I'm sure at least 90% of the people on the blog will enjoy it very much.

XOXOXO Luna Lovegood

I saw this movie and you're right! I absolutely loved it! I even read the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll! The book was like a giant dream...
